BREEDING CHART

The original hand drawn chart came to me via email from a friend in Ontario, Bill Butterfield. It was given to him by Bob Fleming "Mr. EyeSign" at the 2002 CU Convention. Here is what Bob told me about the original chart."The chart was presented to me 45 years ago by my friend Mr. Lodge of Sth Australia who asked me to share it with as many people as I could that I felt would use and benefit by it. It was originally composed as a guide to breeding a family by Mons Paul Gitts of Belgium at around the early part of the  20th Century. The Gitts pigeons excelled in long distance flying throughout the world and especially in Australia for many years, and even today the Gitts blood can still be found in some lofts. They were especially famous for their feathered feet and fleshy gullets hanging down beneath their beaks to the crop which really made them stand out and look quite unique. Bob. You have helped me to honor my promise to a friend and I thank you most sincerely". (Copy and paste from Mr. Fleming's email 19 Jan. 2003)

It is most important that the birds being used to start this program are are the very best available. This nor any other program will produce top class winning birds from inferior stock.

For those interested in inbreeding here is a link with calculators that can be used in conjunction with the above chart.
